Murrells Inlet Nightlife
March 12, 2010 9:39 AM
Ever stay in South Myrtle Beach like Surfside, Garden City, Murrells Inlet, or Pawleys Island? We have the perfect scene of laid back nightlife for you! If you want to escape the constant buzz of Myrtle Beach, check out the south end. The Murrells Inlet Marshwalk is lined with restaurants and docks. The best time to go would be in the summer if you are expecting a crowd but if you are looking to have a drink with a beautiful view, anytime is fine. A perfect night to me would be having dinner at a fabulous Murrells Inlet seafood restaurant and then watching live music over the inlet. What about you?
For a date night, I would suggest Dockside or Divine's Fishhouse. These restaurants are on the upscale end but with a great atmosphere, beautiful drinks, and the freshest catch of the day, you are sure to not go wrong.
Lee's Inlet Kitchen is also a local favorite. Opened in 1948, Lee's Inlet Kitchen still lives up to it's prestigious reputation of great food and good service. Can I also mention that the hushpuppies are addictive? If you go during the summer, it's worth it but be ready for a wait.
Want to watch the sunset with fruity drink in hand? Head to Wahoo's. Sit on the porch overlooking the inlet and listen to live music. This place is great for appetizers.
The sun is down and your belly is full. What to do now? Spud's has nightly entertainment during the summer. Spud's has a daily happy hour from 4-7pm with 1/2 drink and appetizer specials. With a bar, band, and beach setting right beside the restaurant, what's not to love?
A real local hot spot would be The Hot Fish Club. Check out the Gazebo in the back. It's not glamorous or anything but here you can find the sunburnt, surf bum beach locals. Hot Fish has nightly entertainment and an outside porch which turns into an all out party each night. Playing this weekend is Who Shot JR? and Deville Street Parking. Come out and see them!
If you're still not tired, head to Beaver Bar up the road. This is another local bar with lots of character... plus they stay open later than the other bars.
Happy planning!

Happy it's warming up!
