Myrtle Beach Airport Gets a Makeover
If you're planning to take a flight into Myrtle Beach, SC, later this year you will get a pleasant surprise as the Myrtle Beach Airport is in the process of a makeover.
Myrtle Beach International Airport is in the final stages of building a $129.8 million commercial terminal which will consist of new gates, new concourse and a new terminal.
The entire process won't be complete until 2013, but employees may be shifted over sooner.
In addition to a new look for Myrtle Beach visitors to see as they fly in, they are planning for a quicker exit for those flying into Myrtle Beach.
Instead of pushing visitors into 17 Bypass rush hour traffic, they hope to complete a $10 million, year-long process to connect U.S. Highway 17 Bypass with U.S. Highway 17 Business. This would make it much easier for Myrtle Beach visitors to get to and from the airport with no problems.
So get ready for a new and improved Myrtle Beach airport. All of which will be a major step in increasing the ease and continence of your next Myrtle Beach vacation.
