Hard Rock Park New Name
After months of speculation, Hard Rock Park finally gets a new name. Hard Rock Park will now be known as Freestyle Music Park.
The name change isn't the only thing that will be changing in the park. As the park shifts from strictly hard rock, FPI MB Entertainment announced that it will now encompass rock n' roll, R&B, country, pop, reggae, beach music, alternative, Christian and disco.
Now that they've settled on a name, they are still on track to open on Memorial Day weekend.
The park's owners had hoped to keep the Hard Rock Park name, but couldn't work out an agreement with Hard Rock International. The previous owners were renting the name for $2.5 million per year. It's unclear at this time the exact details of the falling out.
FPI MB Entertainment hopes by changing the name to Freestyle Music Park they will not only be able establish a new brand across the world, but they would also be free to establish new partnerships.
In addition to changing the name and incorporating various genres of music, Freestyle Music Park will also be adding a few new rides and lowering ticket prices for added value.
